Additional News

From Sunday 17th September 2017 the Winter timetable will be introduced.

From the Monday 18th September (possibly until mid November), roadworks means North Street will be closed. From Churchill Square all buses are expected to turn right into West Street, then continue along the coast road, before many services turn up the Old Steine. Westbound buses will run on the same route in the opposite direction. Bus stops in North Street are unlikely to be served.

STOP PRESS: It has just been announced that The Big Lemon are taking over a number of supported services from this Sunday! 17th September (from Compass Travel). While the 16/66, and service 56 are only likely to see minor changes; those living in the Ovingdean, Saltdean and Rottingdean areas will see major changes to their services; so it is recommended intending passengers visit the Big Lemon website.
Basically the existing service 47 and 57 will be combined to give an hourly service from East Saltdean, to the city centre (with alternate journeys running via Ovingdean). The service 52 will then run hourly from Woodingdean, through Ovingdean, to start/finish at the County Hospital (apart from some peak journeys which are extended to Brighton Station). In addition, the service 57 will give an approximate 2 hourly link between Ovingdean and the city centre.

The service 37/37B is not affected by these changes, and will remain with Compass Travel.
